Meddify is a medication reminder app designed to help you stay on top of your health. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use Meddify.

Key Point: Meddify is built with privacy by design. We do not have servers, we do not collect your personal data, and we cannot access your medication information. All your data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud, encrypted and private.

1. How We Collect and Use Your Information

● App Functionality

Meddify requires certain permissions to provide its core functionality:

Notification permission: To send you medication reminders at scheduled times. This is optional but necessary for reminder functionality. All reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
iCloud permission (optional): If you enable iCloud sync, your medication data (medications, schedules, history) is stored in your personal iCloud container and synced across your devices. We cannot access this data — it's encrypted and belongs to you.

● Customer Support

When you contact us via email for support, we collect your email address and the content of your message to respond to your inquiry. This information is only used to assist you and is not used for any other purpose.

Meddify does NOT collect:

Your name, address, or phone number
Your medication names or dosages (this stays on your device)
Your location
Any health or medical information
Any personally identifiable information

We have no servers — your data never leaves your device or your private iCloud.

2. How We Use Cookies

Meddify does not use cookies as it is a native iOS app. However, if you visit our website, we may use essential cookies to ensure the website functions properly. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

3. Why We Collect Information

We collect minimal information only for these purposes:

To provide you with medication reminders (via local notifications)
To sync your data across devices via iCloud (if you choose to enable it)
To respond to your support requests
To improve our app based on aggregated, anonymous usage data

4. How We Share, Transfer, and Disclose Your Information

● Share

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. The only exception is when required by law (e.g., in response to a valid court order).

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

Delete: You can delete your data by deleting medications or uninstalling the app (if iCloud sync is off).
Opt-out: You can opt out of iCloud sync in iOS Settings.
Withdraw consent: You can disable notifications or iCloud access at any time.

Local storage: Your medication data is stored locally on your device. You can delete it at any time.
iCloud storage (optional): If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud container, encrypted by Apple. We cannot access it.
Security: We follow industry best practices to protect your data locally. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. To California Residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to:

Know what personal information is collected
Request deletion of personal information
Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell)
